Lobby Card, One Way Passage
is a 1932 American pre-Code romantic film directed by Tay Garnett and released by Warner Bros.. The movie stars William Powell as a convicted murderer named Dan Hardesty and Kay Francis as a terminally ill woman named Joan Ames. The two meet and fall in love on a ship bound for San Francisco, each unaware of the other's "doomed destiny".
The film's screenplay is based on a story by Robert Lord, who won an Academy Award for Best Story. It was later remade in 1940 as 'Til We Meet Again, starring Merle Oberon and George Brent. |
