Keith Haring IV #D Pop Shop Radiant Baby

Keith Haring IV #D Pop Shop Radiant Baby - Recto (Poster) specific print from Keith Haring's Pop Shop IV portfolio, which is often referred to as "Radiant Baby" or "Untitled (Pop Shop IV - D)". This is a hand-signed and numbered original screenprint from 1989. Artwork Details Artist: Keith Haring (1958–1990) Title: Untitled (from the Pop Shop IV portfolio, Plate II or D) Year Created: 1989 Medium: Screenprint in colors on wove paper Signature: Hand-signed and dated in pencil by Keith Haring Edition: The print in the image is numbered 86/100. Other editions of this work usually come from an edition of 200 or 250, so this specific numbering suggests it may be part of a smaller, possibly unique or artist's proof run, or a different portfolio edition. Fine art serigraph by Keith Haring 16.5 x 13.5 inches with 3 colors (the black ink is very thick and glossy). Signed in pencil "K. Haring 89 (cirle x)". Small embossment of a lizard on lower left. at lower left verso written in pencil "KH-P-58BN" there are no watermarks in the paper. Print was received in a simple frame measuring 24.75 x 21.5 x 1.25 with plexiglass glazing. The print was "float mounted" using 4 waterbased self-adhesive linen hinges, one in each corner. The backing to which the art was mounted shows yellowing around the area that the art was mounted (most likely caused by exposure to light). The print displays significant planar distortion caused by restricted expansion.
Frame was opened and hinges were cut to free the artwork from the frame. Print was photographed and examined on a light table and under strong light and magnification. The results of the examination are documented herein.
Recommend hinge removal but not flattening because there is a strong possibility that the thick black ink could fracture if the artwork is sufficiently humidified.
