Demo Notes
The plan outlines several demolition tasks:
Remove all carpet and tile throughout.
Remove kitchen, master bath, and guest bath cabinets & countertops.
Remove tub/shower floor & wall tiles.
Remove master closet walls, south wing wall, and kitchen walls (refer to structural plans for details).
Remove light fixtures, lens & wood trim ceiling vault in the kitchen.
Remove tile on face of fireplace & hearth.
Fire-rated door at wall & front door will remain.
Remove and replace all toilets; existing washer/dryer will remain [1.1].
Structural & Patching Notes
Structural Note: A shear wall is to be added, and framing is to be modified per structural plans sheet S-1 [1.1].
Patching Notes:
Where new walls occur, refer to a specific detail for sill-plate construction & floor patching.
Where walls are removed, patch lightweight concrete floor flush with new concrete & patch, tape & refinish ceilings with 5/8" Type X GWB to maintain a 1-hour assembly [1.1]. |
