The Pied Piper

Plot Summary The Journey: While on a fishing holiday in France, an English curmudgeon named John Sidney Howard (played by Monty Woolley) is forced to evacuate as the Nazis invade. The Children: He reluctantly agrees to take two English children back to safety, but as he travels, his group grows with more refugee children of various nationalities. The Conflict: The group is eventually captured by German soldiers commanded by Major Diessen (Otto Preminger), who suspects Howard is a British spy. The Resolution: Diessen makes a private proposal: he will release everyone if Howard takes his young half-Jewish niece to safety in America. Howard successfully reaches England with the children. Cast and Accolades The film stars Monty Woolley as the lead, alongside Roddy McDowall, Anne Baxter, and Otto Preminger. Sorry, I'm just figuring out your site. So it appears you've already mounted this poster. There seems to be more paper loss since mounting; is that a common occurence when working with such brittle paper?
