Ballet and Theatre Desings - Before (Poster) One Sheet original Russian Avant-Garde lithograph exhibition poster printed in 1970. The central illustration depicts Le Paon (The Peacock), originally created by Russian artist Mikhail Larionov in 1915. It was designed as a mechanical costume concept for the ballet Histoires Naturelles. The poster was produced for the "Ballet and Theatre Designs" exhibition that ran from April to May 1970. The event was hosted at the Hutton-Hutschnecker Gallery located at 967 Madison Avenue in New York City. The borders list other notable modernists, Futurists, and Russian Avant-Garde figures associated with the gallery, including Bakst, Benois, Gontcharova, Exter, Korovin, Lancelot, Pechstein, Pogedaieff, Talera, Soudeikine, and Tchelitchev.
