Yellow Submarine is a British animated musical fantasy film inspired by The Beatles' music, particularly the song of the same name.
Plot: The story follows Old Fred from Pepperland who recruits the Beatles to save his music-loving world from the music-hating Blue Meanies.
Production: The real Beatles were not enthusiastic about the project and, aside from providing music, only appeared in the short live-action closing scene, with voice actors performing their animated counterparts.
