Summary of the Film
Plot Two U.S. Navy lifers, Billy "Badass" Buddusky (Jack Nicholson) and Richard "Mule" Mulhall (Otis Young), are assigned to transport a young, naive sailor named Larry Meadows (Randy Quaid) to a military prison in New Hampshire to serve an eight-year sentence for a petty theft of $40 from a charity. Taking pity on the young man due to the disproportionately harsh sentence, the two older sailors decide to show him one last good time on the way to prison, which leads to various misadventures.
