One sheet, If He Should Fall
is a British propaganda poster from World War II, designed by Abram Games. It was created for the Emergency Blood Transfusion Service to encourage citizens to donate blood.
The poster features a soldier enclosed within the outline of a blood bottle, which is being held by a large hand, with the text "IF HE SHOULD FALL IS YOUR BLOOD THERE TO SAVE HIM?". Games was appointed as the official war poster designer in 1942, and this design is characteristic of his modernist style. |
