Sabena To Modern Africa

After One sheet, "To modern Africa" is a vintage travel poster for the Belgian airline Sabena. It was created by the artist G. Vanden Eynde around 1968-1970 and advertised Sabena's flights to Africa. The poster highlights the airline's "40 years experience" in Africa, which was a core part of the airline's business, with its profitable routes to its former colony, the Belgian Congo. Sabena's history and its ties to Africa continued throughout its existence, from its first long-haul flight to the Congo in 1925 until its bankruptcy in 2001.
