Vertigo

Mounted Daybill, Vertigo is a 1958 American psychological thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The movie stars James Stewart as a retired police detective named John "Scottie" Ferguson, who suffers from acrophobia (fear of heights) and vertigo. The plot follows Scottie as he is hired by an old acquaintance to follow his wife, Madeleine (Kim Novak), who is believed to be possessed by the spirit of her great-grandmother. Scottie becomes obsessed with Madeleine and later with a woman who bears a striking resemblance to her.
