is a World War II poster created by the artist Jack Coggins in 1942 or 1943. The poster was commissioned by the U.S. Army as an aircraft recognition chart for basic training.
The central part of the poster features various types of military planes flying through a cloudy sky, such as the Fokker, B-24, Stirling, Hurricane, Messerschmitt, and Mitsubishi. The border of the poster is a chart of aircraft insignia from 47 countries, including the British Empire, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, and the United States. |
