Concert poster, This is a rare circular concert poster for The Doors' performances at the Kaleidoscope Club in Hollywood in 1967.
The concerts took place on April 21-23, and the poster is considered one of the most sought-after The Doors concert posters.
The psychedelic artwork features close-up portraits of the four band members, with a purple and red-hued image of Jim Morrison in profile. The poster also lists the supporting acts, The UFO and The Peanut Butter Conspiracy. Measuring approximately 18.5 inches in diameter, this circular design was unusual for the time.
This is cited as the first Doors poster to feature an image of the band. The original posters were printed on thin stock paper in Day-Glo fluorescent inks. Due to their rarity and fragile nature, they are highly valued by collectors. |
