Come On, Pal ... Enlist!
is a Canadian World War II recruitment poster designed by artist Henry Eveleigh. The poster was created between 1941 and 1945 and was part of a recruitment campaign. Instead of using dramatic or patriotic imagery, the poster features a friendly, smiling soldier to appeal to potential recruits through a sense of camaraderie rather than pressure. The original posters were published by the United States Government Printing Office and are now part of collections at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History and other archives. |
