One sheet, Fly BOAC PERU is a vintage travel poster issued by British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) to promote flights to Peru. The poster is believed to have been created around 1961, which is when BOAC inaugurated its first flight service to Peru from London. The artwork features a stylized, pre-Columbian bird motif, which was part of a mid-century advertising campaign by BOAC to promote exotic destinations. The artist of the poster is unknown. |
