One sheet, A pictorial map of wildlife and game in the United States
is a vintage-style map originally created by illustrator Ira Moss in 1956. The map features detailed illustrations of various animals and birds native to the United States, including big game, predators, and rodents. The map's base uses subtle relief-shading and illustrations of pine trees to denote topography, vegetation, and different ecosystems where the animals thrive. The border of the map includes boxed inset maps showing the habitat of each animal. A later edition of the map was also published in 1972 by the National Rifle Association. |
