		Panel, vintage advertising sign for
Bisto gravy, featuring the slogan "Ah! Bisto for war-workers meals". The sign was a rare, original poster from the World War II era, created during a time of paper shortages. It depicts a smiling man, presumably a war worker, rubbing his hands together in anticipation of a meal.
Bisto, a British food brand, has used various advertising campaigns throughout its history. In 1919, the Bisto Kids characters were introduced, and they became popular with the catchphrase, "Ah, Bisto!". The company has used different slogans over the decades, and later advertising often focused on themes of family and togetherness. Bisto gravy granules were introduced in 1979. |
