This is a psychedelic portrait of
George Harrison, a member of The Beatles, created by photographer Richard Avedon in 1967. The poster was part of a series of four portraits of the band members, commissioned by their manager Brian Epstein to capture their new psychedelic direction. The original solarized photographs were overlaid with Day-Glo colors and symbolic attributes. George Harrison's portrait features mystical henna patterns and an eye on his hand, which visualizes his interest in Eastern religions and spirituality. |
