Capri

Mounted One sheet, Mario Borgoni's poster "Capri Italia" is a vintage travel poster created in the late 1920s to promote tourism to the island of Capri, Italy. Borgoni, an Italian painter and illustrator, was known for his work in the Art Nouveau style and for his vibrant depictions of Italian travel destinations. The poster was commissioned by ENIT, the Italian National Tourist Board, and often included the logos for ENIT and the Italian State Railways. The image depicts a view from a high point on the island, possibly the Villa San Michele, looking down at the Mediterranean Sea.
