One sheet, Norge Skisportens Hiemland is a vintage travel poster designed by Trygve M. Davidsen in 1925 for the Norwegian State Railways. The title translates to "Norway, the homeland of skiing". The poster was created to promote Norway as a premier winter sports destination. The original art-deco style poster, which features a semi-nude skier, was considered sensational when it was first exhibited and was even banned in the United States. |
