House of the Long Shadows
is a 1983 British comedy horror film directed by Pete Walker. It is notable for being the first and only time that four iconic horror stars—Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and John Carradine—appeared in a film together.
The film's plot is based on the 1913 novel Seven Keys to Baldpate by Earl Derr Biggers. It follows an American author, Kenneth Magee, who makes a bet that he can write a classic novel in a remote Welsh manor in 24 hours. He arrives to find the house is not as deserted as he thought, and soon a bizarre family reunion and a series of murders begin to unfold. |
