Halfsheet, the
1955 Mille Miglia, a historic open-road endurance race held in Italy. The poster was created by artist Erich Strenger for Porsche and highlights the company's class victories and new records set in the race since 1952.
The poster prominently features two Porsche 356 coupes, which were the type of car Porsche entered in the race. The Mille Miglia ran 24 times between 1927 and 1957, with the 1955 race being the 22nd running. That year's race is particularly famous for the record-breaking victory of Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. |
