Fine art lithograph by Salvador Dali, Le Dernier venu de la dernière planète
is an original etching with lithographic color by Salvador Dalí from his 1974 series, La Conquête du Cosmos (The Conquest of the Cosmos). The series consists of twelve prints, with six released in 1974 as Cosmos I and the remaining six in 1977 as Cosmos II. The prints are embossed and were published by Jean Lavigne in Paris. Dalí was inspired to create the series by the Soviet Union's 1957 launch of an artificial satellite, marking humanity's journey to conquer outer space. |
