Synopsis
The film follows Chaplin's character, a tailor's apprentice, who accidentally burns a count's trousers and is fired. His former employer then steals the count's invitation to a party and decides to impersonate him. Chaplin's character also crashes the party, and both of them compete for the affection of "Miss Moneybags," played by Edna Purviance. The real count eventually arrives, and the impostors are exposed, leading to a chase. |
