One Sheet, Revenge of the Jedi
was the original working title for the 1983 film Return of the Jedi, the third installment in the original Star Wars trilogy.
The film's title was famously changed by George Lucas just a few months before its release, as he decided that "revenge" was not an appropriate theme for a Jedi. Due to this change, the "Revenge of the Jedi" teaser poster became a highly sought-after collector's item. A limited number of these posters, designed by Bill Pate and Drew Struzan, were sold to members of the Official Star Wars Fan Club.
The name "Revenge" was later used for the prequel trilogy's third film, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. |
