One sheet remove from plexiglass, Disneyland's PeopleMover Superspeed Tunnel
The image is a vintage attraction poster for the PeopleMover Superspeed Tunnel
at Disneyland. The PeopleMover
was a transportation attraction in Tomorrowland at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, that operated from 1967 to 1995. The ride took guests on a "grand circle tour" on elevated tracks above Tomorrowland.
The Superspeed Tunnel was an added feature to the PeopleMover in 1977. It was located on the upper level of the Carousel Theater, and race cars were projected on the tunnel's walls to create the illusion of speed. In 1982, the projections were changed to scenes from the film Tron, and the attraction was then advertised as the "PeopleMover Thru the World of TRON". The ride was closed in 1995 to make way for the short-lived Rocket Rods attraction. The track infrastructure for the PeopleMover remains standing in Tomorrowland as of 2025, but it is no longer in use.
The original silkscreen poster for the attraction was created by artist Tim Delaney and is considered one of the rarest Disneyland posters |
