I Could Go On Singing

After British Quad I Could Go on Singing is a 1963 musical drama film starring Judy Garland and Dirk Bogarde. The film, which was Garland's final dramatic role before her death in 1969, follows an American singer, Jenny Bowman (Garland), who travels to London and reconnects with her ex-lover, David Donne (Bogarde). She had given their son, Matt (Gregory Phillips), to David to raise years earlier. The movie explores the conflict between her career and her desire to be a mother. The film is notable for its autobiographical elements, as the character of Jenny Bowman was seen to be a thinly disguised self-portrait of Garland, and the film was shot while she was in the middle of a child custody battle of her own
