War of the Colossal Best

After One sheet, War of the Colossal Beast is a 1958 black-and-white science fiction film that serves as a sequel to the 1957 movie The Amazing Colossal Man. The film was written, produced, and directed by Bert I. Gordon and released by American International Pictures. Plot Summary The movie picks up where the previous film ended, with the giant Glenn Manning, believed to have died after falling from Hoover Dam, reappearing in Mexico. He is found by his sister, Joyce Manning (played by Sally Fraser), to be disfigured, brain-damaged, and unable to speak clearly. The military captures him and brings him back to the United States, but he escapes and goes on a rampage in Los Angeles. The climax of the film features a scene where the disfigured giant, after being reasoned with by his sister, electrocutes himself on high-voltage power lines near the Griffith Observatory. Notably, this final scene was filmed in color, in contrast to the rest of the black-and-white movie. Cast Sally Fraser as Joyce Manning Dean Parkin as Lt.
