Mini Window Card, The Maltese Falcon
is a 1941 American film noir classic written and directed by John Huston in his directorial debut. The movie poster features the film's stars, Humphrey Bogart as private investigator Sam Spade and Mary Astor as his client, the femme fatale Brigid O'Shaughnessy. The plot follows Spade as he becomes entangled with a group of criminals who are all competing to find a jewel-encrusted falcon statuette. The film is considered one of the greatest of all time and is often cited as a foundational work of the film noir genre.
