Movie Synopsis
The film's plot centers on Johnny Varron (played by Nicholson), a rebellious beatnik and amateur dirt track racer. His reckless and troublemaking behavior leads to a tragic end for his friends and himself. He becomes upset when his best friend Dave's girlfriend, Nancy, tries to get Dave to leave their fast-paced, dangerous lifestyle, which leads to conflict.
