is a book by Mary L. Jobe Akeley, the widow of naturalist and taxidermist Carl Akeley. Published in 1940 by Dodd, Mead & Company, the book recounts the work of her late husband in creating museum exhibits and his expeditions to Africa. The book includes stories about his adventures in the wilderness and the development of the gorilla exhibit for the American Museum of Natural History.
