Ireland Great Southern Rys

Ireland Great Southern Rys Previously mounted, royal quad 40x50, vintage travel poster advertising travel to Ireland, specifically to Glengarriff and Killarney, by the Great Southern Railways (Ireland). The poster was created by artist Walter Till and is believed to date from the 1920s or 1930s. It features a scenic landscape with a body of water, mountains, and trees. The Great Southern Railways (GSR) was an Irish company that operated all railways within the Irish Free State from 1925 to 1945. It was formed by the amalgamation of several railway companies, including the Great Southern and Western Railway and the Midland Great Western Railway. The company also owned a number of hotels, which continued to operate under the "Great Southern" name until their privatization in 2006.
