is a 1973 American supernatural horror film directed by William Friedkin and based on the 1971 novel of the same name by William Peter Blatty. The poster, featuring a silhouetted figure standing under a street light outside a house, was designed by legendary artist Bill Gold.
The film, which stars Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, and Linda Blair, was released on December 26, 1973. It was the first horror film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture and is widely considered one of the greatest horror films ever made |
