High Tide

After Fine Art, High Tide is a screenprint by the Japanese-American artist Muramasa Kudo, who was born in 1948. The artwork features a man with a prominent koi fish tattoo on his back, who is holding a woman in a scene with waves. Muramasa Kudo was a multi-talented artist, who trained as a calligrapher and later became a painter and sculptor. He is known for combining his calligraphy training with watercolors, creating works that are said to be influenced by Zen philosophy. His artistic style incorporates traditional Japanese methods with elements from classical, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco styles. He often drew inspiration from "goddess-like women" in natural settings.
