IX Olympic Winter Games, which took place in Innsbruck, Austria, from January 29 to February 9, 1964. The vintage poster features a photograph by Fred Lindholm of a skier in a red and white jacket, a white helmet, and goggles skiing at high speed down a slope. The poster was published in 1963.
The 1964 Winter Olympics were the first to be held in Innsbruck and the first to be televised globally. This was also the year that luge made its debut as an official Olympic sport.
