Australia for the Tourist
is a vintage travel poster created by the Australian National Travel Association. There are different versions of this poster; some sources attribute the design to artist James Northfield and others to Eileen Mayo. A version of the poster with a photo collage of three koalas is sometimes attributed to a photograph by Harold Cazneaux. The poster features koalas, which are described as the "world's most lovable animals," and was used to promote travel to Australia. It was created in the mid-20th century, with some sources dating it to the 1930s or 1950s. |
