They Live, a 1988 American science-fiction film directed by John Carpenter. "Invasion Los Angeles" is the film's French title.
The movie's plot follows a drifter named John Nada who discovers a pair of special sunglasses that reveal the world is being secretly controlled by aliens. The aliens are disguised as humans and use subliminal messages, such as the word "OBEY" prominently shown on the poster, to manipulate the population. The film stars Roddy Piper and Keith David. |
