One sheet, Airline Travel, vintage poster depicts travel to South America by Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) . The poster was designed by the Danish artist Otto Nielsen (1916-2000). It was created in the 1950s or 1960s as part of a series of posters he made for SAS that promoted travel to exotic destinations. The poster features two llamas, a common symbol of the Andes Mountains in South America, and, like many of Nielsen's SAS posters, a subtly integrated airplane. |
