The image is from the book The Tour of Doctor Syntax in Search of the Picturesque, a satirical poem by William Combe with illustrations by Thomas Rowlandson. The work first appeared in monthly installments in The Poetical Magazine between 1809 and 1811 before being published as a book in 1812.
