Sebring

After Halfsheet racing poster, 1959 12-Hour Florida International Grand Prix of Endurance, which took place on March 21 at the Sebring International Raceway. The race was part of the World Sportscar Championship. This event is not to be confused with the 1959 United States Grand Prix, which was a Formula One race held at the same venue on December 12, 1959. The Formula One race was a financial failure and was the only F1 Grand Prix ever held at Sebring. The race on March 21, 1959, was the eighth running of the 12 Hours of Sebring. The poster art is attributed to an artist named Zito, who created the silkscreen for the event. The race was won by Dan Gurney, Phil Hill, Chuck Daigh, and Olivier Gendebien in a Ferrari 250 TR 59 for Scuderia Ferrari.
