The event was promoted as "The Plasmadena J.C. Presents In Concert". "Plasmadena J.C." was a psychedelic-era pun for "Pasadena Junior College," which is now known as Pasadena City College (PCC). The bands featured on the poster were The Doors, Love, and Canned Heat.
The poster has a vibrant, psychedelic art style, which was typical for rock concert posters of the era. The Doors, however, canceled their performance at the last minute and were replaced by The 5th Dimension.
This poster is considered extremely rare, and only a few copies have surfaced for sale. |
