		Bo Diddley Concert Poster
This is an original psychedelic concert poster for a Bo Diddley performance at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, on July 28-30, 1966. The concert also featured Quicksilver Messenger Service with a light show by Bill Ham.
The poster is officially known as "FD-18" in the Family Dog poster series and is also referred to as "Voice of Music". The artwork was created by artists Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. It features a prominent image of the RCA Victor logo dog, Nipper, with a gramophone.
There are various printings of this poster, with the first printing being on plain brown paper and having a print run of approximately 1,300 copies. A second printing was made on white vellum after the concert. |
