One sheet Attack of the Giant Leeches
is a 1959 American science fiction-horror film directed by Bernard L. Kowalski and produced by Roger Corman. The movie is a low-budget "creature feature" made in response to Cold War fears.
Synopsis
The film is set in the Florida Everglades, where a pair of oversized, intelligent leeches, mutated by radiation, live in an underwater cavern. The creatures begin attacking local townspeople and dragging them to their cave to slowly drain them of blood. A game warden, Steve Benton, investigates the disappearances with the help of his girlfriend and her father, a doctor. They eventually discover the leeches' lair and destroy the creatures with dynamite.
