Signed album in frame, The Rolling Stones framed art piece featuring The Rolling Stones' live album
"Love You Live" from 1977. The album cover artwork was designed by Andy Warhol, and the framed piece includes photographs of Warhol and Mick Jagger.
The album cover, featuring Mick Jagger biting a hand, was a collage created by Andy Warhol. The album is sometimes found with autographs from various members of the band and Andy Warhol. The original cover design by Warhol did not include the album title or the band name, which were added by Mick Jagger, reportedly to Warhol's annoyance.
The photographs included in the frame show Andy Warhol with Mick Jagger. One such photograph, taken in New York in 1977 at the album's press reception, was captured by photographer Bob Gruen. Another well-known photographer, Mick Rock, also took photos of Warhol and Jagger. Warhol and Jagger had a long-standing creative relationship, and Warhol also designed the iconic album cover for the band's 1971 album Sticky Fingers. |
