Plot Summary
Stan and Ollie are mousetrap salesmen who travel to Switzerland, the "land of cheese," to sell their wares. They are swindled out of their money by a cheesemaker and are forced to work off their debt as dishwashers at a nearby hotel. At the hotel, they encounter a famous opera composer (Walter Woolf King) who is hiding from his wife (Della Lind) while working on his new masterpiece.
The film is famous for several classic comedy sequences, including Laurel and Hardy struggling to move a piano across a treacherous, flimsy rope bridge high in the mountains. |
