Design: Max Bill was one of 29 internationally acclaimed artists commissioned to create posters for the Games to "represent the intertwining of sports and art worldwide". The abstract, geometric design uses a striking array of colors in a composition that resembles a color wheel or an "Olympic square," with a white square at the center. |
