Commissioning Company: It was commissioned by the Chemins de Fer de Paris à Orléans & de l'État (Paris to Orléans & The State Railways).
Purpose: The poster promotes train travel and subsequent "motor car tours" (Circuits Automobiles) departing from the city of Tours to visit the famous châteaux of the Loire Valley.
