Attraction Information
Location: The Sailing Ship Columbia operates on the Rivers of America within Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.
The Ship: It is a full-scale replica of the Columbia Rediviva, which was the first American ship to circumnavigate the globe in the late 1780s.
The Experience: The ship takes guests on a scenic, roughly 12-minute journey around the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island, with a narrator sharing historical facts.
Special Features: The attraction features ten cannons (which fire blank shots during the voyage), a maritime museum exhibit below decks, and often appears as Captain Hook's pirate ship in the nighttime show Fantasmic!.
Operation: The ship does not operate every day and typically runs only on busy park days or when the Mark Twain Riverboat is not operating. |
