The story follows Ben Johnson, a despised sheepherder who loves cattle and wants to be a cowboy. After an encounter where a cattleman's daughter, Rena Newhall, refuses him a drink due to class prejudice, Ben's employer gives him a fine horse and new gear, sending him to Rena's father's ranch.
On the way to the ranch, Ben rescues Rena from a "bad man" and later has to pose as an outlaw himself to infiltrate a gang led by Buck Brent, who is seeking revenge on Rena's father. Ben eventually saves the day, catches the villain, and tames a wild horse, leading to a happy ending with Rena. |
