Poster Details Artwork: The poster was created by the German artist Max Römer (1878-1960). Imagery: It features an elaborate depiction of a large fireworks display over the city and harbor of Funchal, with three ships visible in the water. Production: The original lithograph was printed by "Lito. Nacional - Porto". Historical Context: Madeira is famous for its New Year's Eve fireworks. In fact, the celebration held the Guinness World Record for the "World's Largest Fireworks Display" from 2006 to 2012.
