Fine art by Picasso, etching by Pablo Picasso titled
Autour du Bain Turc d'Ingres (Around the Turkish Bath by Ingres).
This print is part of Picasso's "347 series," a collection of engravings created between March and October 1968. The artwork is a reference to Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres' 1862 painting, The Turkish Bath, which depicts a group of nude women in a harem. Picasso was a known admirer of Ingres' work, particularly the way Ingres structured space and distorted the human form. The print was created using the etching technique. |
